I know our readers are tired of us referring to our clients as 'lovely'. Although that adjective certainly fits this couple let's refer to them as 'intensely loyal'. After purchasing their "apartment in the sky", they immediately called Pia to furnish everything. This is their second home with us, and they have never bought a piece of furniture from anyone but us. Their first home with us (Client Home # 63) was a white delight. Every piece, every design, custom made in brilliant white so as not to deter from the phenomenal architecture.

In their new home, the view is spectacular. Again the white furniture serves as a clean palette so the views are unencumbered. Floor to ceiling rounded windows and the views of Manhattan are the stars of the home and the furniture needed to be shapely, soft and virtually color blind.

Living Room

We start with a timeless design as relevant and exciting today as it was when it was first introduced.

This sectional combines all three with a moving chaise that provides room for extra seating for guests, or allows you to put your feet up with your honey when no one is around. Many of our clients float our sectionals in the room, so the backs of all our furniture must be of the same quality and design of the fronts.

• NO bonded leather garbage.
• NO leather-mate nonsense.
• NO almost, maybe, possibly leather, that other stores pass off as furniture.

We specialize in custom made cabinetry. Our designs are made to the inch by superior carpenters and individually designed by Pia. We design and build custom bedrooms, dining rooms, entertainment centers and so much more.

In this extraordinary living room, Pia designed mirrored back curios to stand on either side of the fireplace. Rounded glass shelves, shapely pilasters and halogen lighting adds to the drama of the room. When the TV is placed above the fireplace, the entire wall will be as dramatic as the views of Manhattan.

Dining Room

Linear designs just don't work in an apartment where there are no square corners. From the tops of the chairs to the curvature of the legs the dining chairs work perfectly. A peek-a-boo back and an exotic vinyl on the seats are added touches. The dining table has a beautiful shaped fossil stone base and topped with a racetrack oval glass.

Bedroom

In the bedroom our custom cabinetry continues. Wrapped around a corner perfectly, and featuring a wave drawer front design, Pia designed furniture that takes up minimal space and still provides tremendous storage.. Again, the white color provides a light feeling for the room. Built exactly wall to wall, design includes 15 drawers and a make-up table for the woman of the house. Pia understands the needs of her women clients.

So there you have 'Pia in the sky'...a spectacular apartment with sweeping views of Manhattan. We are very grateful that this 'not really retiring' client again chose us to design their second beautiful home. Lovely people, loyal clients, a beautiful home...
